Meet Deb Pomeroy

Deb’s journey toward becoming a health coach is deeply rooted in personal growth and transformation. Initially, she didn’t prioritize health, subscribing to the misconception that thinness equated to overall health. However, her path took a pivotal turn as she encountered significant health challenges over the years.
Deb faced the struggles of Fibromyalgia and navigated through menopausal challenges exacerbated by poor eating habits and a lack of knowledge in stress management techniques, compounded by her roles as a business owner, mother, wife, and community volunteer. These experiences became catalysts for a profound evolution in her perspective on health.
Through perseverance and determination, Deb achieved significant improvements in her own health. Her journey through these challenges has not only shaped her into a health-conscious individual but has also fueled her passion for understanding and promoting true health.
Today, as the “Pure Good Health Coach,” Deb draws from her personal experiences to empathize deeply with others who face similar health challenges. Her approach is grounded in authenticity and firsthand understanding, guiding and supporting others on their paths toward healthier lifestyles. Her life’s journey serves as a powerful foundation for her coaching philosophy, inspiring others to prioritize their health and well-being with informed choices and sustainable practices.

Then in 2001 my mother was diagnosed with Stage 3c Ovarian Cancer.

She lost her fight with Cancer in 2009 at the age of 64.

At that point, my mission to get to the bottom of my own health issues and use my knowledge to help others. From the outside, I looked like your typical healthy person; eating right, working out, muscular etc. Even on paper I looked good: normal cholesterol, heart rate and blood pressure levels. But, I struggled with Fibromyalgia that caused much muscular aches and pain. I struggled with anxiety, sleep problems and fatigue. Not long after my diagnosis of Fibromyalgia, I began my health-coaching journey by becoming an Integrative Health Coach with IIN (Institute of Integrative Nutrition) and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN) Practitioner through FDN. 

I was inspired to enroll in this program to help all my clients who were struggling with weight loss even though they were eating right and working out (I knew there had to be something more stopping them from getting results) and to help myself improve my health. Through this program, I learned a whole new way of looking at disease and health, from a functional and causal level.

When I Started Digging Deeper.

I found A Lot of hormone imbalances and gut dysfunction…
…in myself and my clients. It was like finding the mythical fountain of youth!!! So I set out on my true health journey. It’s more about just working out and eating right “most” of the time. It’s been a lifestyle shift. I work-out in a way that’s best for me, I put the right kinds of foods in my body, I’ve minimized toxins in my environment (and continue to do so), I take time for myself, and I’ve been working on healing my gut.

This journey has been hard at times.

As an FDN (Functional Diagnostic Nutrition) Practitioner, Deb Pomeroy’s approach has evolved to encompass comprehensive, at-home lab tests for her clients. These tests allow for a deeper understanding of their health, uncovering obstacles that may be hindering them from achieving their optimal health and weight.
 
One of the fundamental lessons Deb imparts to her clients is the understanding that health is a continuous journey. She emphasizes that this journey is dynamic and ever-changing, influenced by ongoing learning and personal evolution. Rather than becoming frustrated by setbacks or challenges, Deb encourages her clients to embrace patience and remain open to the potential for positive transformation.
